    When Todd Graves pitched his business idea in college, he got a C- Who would ever go to a restaurant that only sold chicken fingers? Turns out, millions. Today, that C- idea is called Raising Canes, and is worth over $10 billion dollars. The secret? Graves didn't care what other people said. Right after college he went to Alaska. Fished for salmon, worked in oil refineries so he could come back to Louisiana with enough money to open his first Raising Cane’s. ?????? ??????????????: Everyone told him the menu was too simple. No burgers. No salads. Just fingers, fries, toast, and slaw. ?????? ????????????????: He knew focus and consistency was the key. Here’s what he did: ?? One menu – No distractions, faster operations, easier training ?? Corporate-owned – 849 stores with zero franchises = tight culture ?? Zero trends – He ignored the industry hype and just delivered quality ?? Founder grit – Alaska fishing trips and oil fields funded it all The result? It worked. Raising Cane’s did $5.1 billion in 2024 revenue. All from a C- idea. The Lesson: Don't over complicate running a business, and if other people disagree, that's okay. ??     I had an amazing weekend in Houston at the Texas Restaurant Association Show!
