This week, Sigma opened the doors of our NYC office to 200+ members of the Databricks community and it was a full house! Sharath Chandra Samala, Solutions Architect at Databricks, kicked off with a sharp recap of the biggest announcements from #DataAISummit 2025. He laid out what’s new, what’s next, and how it’s reshaping the way teams build with Databricks. Tim Gilbert, Head of Data Engineering at Hudson Bay Capital Management LP, shared a transformational story of how his team went from “Zero to Hero” by fully adopting Sigma on Databricks. The result of leveraging this partner ecosystem was faster adoption, deeper impact, and momentum across teams. Megan Mantaro, Senior Analytics Consultant at Aimpoint Digital, showed how her team built a promotion optimization app directly in Sigma, powered by advanced ML models running in Databricks. It’s what happens when you bring unified intelligence into the hands of business users. We wrapped it all up with rooftop views and great conversations among people committed to pushing data forward.
