“You only have to be right once” ? Yesterday, I let my team know that effective April 1, I am stepping down as CEO of Mad Engine and will become the Executive Chairman working with the board and the new CEO Dominic Farrell. This is a bittersweet moment, 15 years ago, when I became CEO, for context, we had about 30 or 40 employees and sold about 2.5 million units.? This year we have 2,000+ employees and sold over 160,000,000+ units of product.? I am so grateful to so many people and have so many people to thank for Mad Engine’s great success. ? First, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my wife and incredible family.? Your unwavering support and love have been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved.? If I was right only once, it was choosing to share my life with my wife Sabrina.? You are my biggest blessing, and our three children my greatest gift, your support truly led to mine (and by extension Mad Engine’s) success.? Thank you. ? I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible team here at Mad Engine. ?Thank you for your dedication to Mad Engine, your willingness to push boundaries, your support for one another and your absolute commitment to excellence.? Mad Engine has never been more primed for success in the future – it is the team that has allowed me to step back from day-to-day operations and will allow me to focus on bigger picture growth opportunities.? I look forward to continuing to work with you in my new role! ? I will also be forever grateful and forever indebted to the licensors and brands that trusted Mad Engine with their intellectual property.? Fifteen years ago, I knocked on the doors of all the major studios and IP holders doing everything I could to earn their trust.? Overtime, they slowly trusted me with their brands.? It is our brand and IP portfolio that makes Mad Engine the leader in licensed apparel. ?Thank you, I will be forever indebted. ?By that same token, I am also grateful to all the major retailers in the United States that carry our Mad Engine product.? Similar to our licensor partners, I remember knocking on doors, begging to get a vendor number.? Today, we have more floor space than I could have ever imagined.? The trust retailers have placed in Mad Engine to put licensed product on the floor that moves at retail – means the world to me.? I am deeply indebted and certain that Mad Engine will continue to earn its floor space. ?
